Paul specialises in property (residential & commercial), business, immigration and family law but also takes special interest in international investments, finance, franchise, trusts (family & charitable), wills, probate, letters of administration, employment and company issues. Paul is also involved in civil and criminal litigations, and provides legal services tailored to our clients' needs. 

When Paul set up J & P Law in January 2019, he brought to the firm over thirty years of diverse work experience in the areas of international finance and investment, corporate banking, property, legal interpreting and law industry as barrister & solicitor in South Korea, the United Kingdom and New Zealand.

 

He started his professional career in the Department of Human Resources at Fujitsu in 1988, before working for 13 years at the government-owned Korea Development Bank.

 

After migrating to New Zealand in 2002, Paul worked in real estates for 3 years at Harcourts and Barfoot & Thompson. Paul has also worked as an agent for overseas students for many years in co-operation with various schools and English institutions in Auckland and Immigration New Zealand. 

Paul has a LLB degree with First Class Honours from the University of Waikato. He also holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Yonsei University in Seoul, Korea. In particular, he graduated at the top of his class for his Master’s degree, majoring in national resources management.
